Schools

Supporting Framework in the classroom can be a great way to teach children about the issue of homelessness in a sensitive and structured way.

Framework offers a number of tools that allow your school to support homeless and vulnerable people in your community.

We recently developed a curriculum led Education Pack to help teach children about homelessness and the ways that it can be tackled. For more information or to access resources such as lesson plans click here

We have a few ideas which you could join in with, such as inviting a speaker or hosting a Framework Sleep-In, but we are always very keen to hear of new, fun and interesting ways that your school could make a difference.

It is about getting the children to understand that there are people out there who are less well off than they are; about them not prejudging people and realising that homelessness really can happen to anybody. We teach children not only about issues that happen globally but also about the things that happen in their local community. Supporting Framework is a good way for us to do that.

Involving young people in this way ensures that future generations are made aware of the plight of homeless people in a way that is easy for them to understand.

To ensure your event runs smoothly we have also included a step-by-step guide with lots of useful hints and tips and we are here to help you with your fundraising event every step of the way.
