Our residents
The people who call Edwin house home may previously have had numerous attempts at treatment for their substance misuse, and are now beginning to experience the long-term physical, mental and emotional consequences of their chaotic life-styles.
We offer them dignity and security and believe it is never too late to improve their quality of life.

The philosophy at the heart of Edwin House is one of harm reduction in its broadest sense. We acknowledge that substance misuse is a chronic relapsing condition and seek to empower residents to achieve their own recovery by providing flexible, tailored packages of care.

Our facilities
Edwin House is a purpose built care facility that underwent extensive renovations in 2018.
Our modern, contemporary facilities include therapy rooms, communal spaces, pleasant outside space and a gymnasium. We have an on-site occupational therapist who oversees structured psychosocial, group and physical activity programmes for our residents.
We are proud not only of the many services we offer at Edwin House, but also of what these services represent – a clear commitment to provide dignity in life (and in death) to some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in our society.
