VIDEO - 'Being blind doesn't stop me volunteering with Framework'

by Neil Skinner

Kay has been registered blind since she was a child. She is also one of Framework’s longest-serving and most active volunteers.

She currently has responsibility for coordinating the activities of 15 other volunteers in the Mansfield and Ashfield area. In doing so she enables dozens of vulnerable people to enrich their lives by accessing Framework services like befriending and mentoring, and the local allotment project. As if that wasn’t enough, Kay is also a volunteer at her local food bank.

Speaking in National Volunteers’ Week she explains what she and the people she helps get out of volunteering.
