We use donated money to bring added value to services and, increasingly, to fill the gaps left by the withdrawal of public funding. We use this money to prevent people from becoming homeless, to support people sleeping rough, and to promote independence.
Our goal is to make the best possible use of every pound donated to us by channelling money to where it is most needed and will have the greatest impact. We want the individuals, community groups, trusts and businesses that support our work to know their donations are well used and understand how effective they are.
WHAT WE DID
In 2016/17 we raised £524,363 in additional income – a record amount for a single year. This money was generated from a combination of sources detailed below.
It was also greatly enhanced by the support of the Nottingham Post newspaper, which used its annual Christmas campaign to support efforts to create a new street outreach service in the boroughs and districts of Nottinghamshire.
The more than £30,000 raised was paired with other fundraised income to create a new and potentially life-saving service for rough sleepers.
Indeed, we spent more fundraised income than ever before on providing street outreach services for people sleeping rough.
